The committee organises fundraising events for the annual senior citizens mainland trip, manage all the trip travel arrangements, activities and arranges the annual Christmas dinner.

Barvas and Brue Community Council

The Community Council meet every month at the Community Centre to discuss matters of local interest.  Please contact the clerk, Suzi Morrison on 840406, or by e-mail if you wish any further information.  The meetings are open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend. 
 

Barvas and Brue Youth Club

The Barvas & Brue Youth Club currently meet every Wednesday evening from 7.00 pm to 8:30 pm in the Barvas and Brue Community Centre for children from 8 - 12 years.  Activities on offer include pool, air hockey, arts and crafts, badminton, games and table tennis.  Tuck shop is also available.  For further details contact Suzi Morrison (840 406)

Barvas and Brue Gardening Club

The Club meet monthly on an informal basis to discuss various aspects of gardening, to share ideas and tips.  The group meet on the second Monday of every month at the Community Centre.  For further information, please contact Mary Flora Morrison on 840408.

Commun Aiteachais an Taobh Siar West Side Agricultural Society

The Agricultural Show is held annually on Barvas Machair, usually on the last Friday of July.  Competitions include livestock, horticulture, baking, art, crafts, knitting and sewing as well as sports and heavy events.  There are many stalls and side shows and displays of classic cars and tractors to provide further entertainment - a great family day out.  For further information about the show, contact Cathy Mary Finlayson on 840263 or Bill Hendry on 840369.

Reality Youth Group

The group meet every Sunday evening at the Church of Scotland Hall at 7:45 p.m.
